My Bonfire night Buddha exploded onto the living wall of a very happy customer recently.
On Bonfire or Guy Fawkes night, while fireworks popped in the night sky, I painted a wall mural of a sleeping Buddha.
She had took her two daughters out to see a local firework display and left me to paint the artwork, based on my linocut from recent years. The linocut was one she particularly loved, describing how initially she couldn’t make sense of the image. Then suddenly the peaceful face of the Buddha, sleeping by a lotus flower pond emerged so clearly.
Upon returning home, the three girls were completely gob-smacked and looked on in amazement at my completed wall art. They were lost for words for some minutes and it was a wonderful feeling to see how happy they were with my Bonfire night Buddha!
